The Senior Operations Specialist serves as a key operational link between the Logistics team and other departments, ensuring smooth execution of administrative, logistical, and coordination of tasks to enable the operations to operate efficiently. This role is essential in supporting administrative initiatives across departments.
Success in this role requires someone who is highly proactive, organized, and service-oriented, with exceptional multitasking abilities, effective communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
Job Responsibilities:
Administrative Responsibilities
- Create and maintain company-wide Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting.
- Purchase order creation and submission.
- Overflow support for sales order and production order entry.
- Backup for local logistic coordinator.
- Engage in other freight traffic monitoring activities as needed.
- Escalate issues appropriately and ensure timely resolution.
Process Improvement
- Analyze workflows and suggest optimization strategies.
- Development or evaluation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as needed.
- Process improvement projects.
Warehouse Operations
- Assist/Lead Safety Committee.
- Assist with warehouse/office duties as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience of relevant operations/supply chain experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization skills and follow-up skills with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience streamlining processes and eliminating waste to keep costs low while maintaining high quality products or services.
- Dependable and ability to work overtime hours, as necessary.
Preferred
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to obtain power industrial truck certification.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position comes with a competitive compensation plan that includes a base wage, health and wellness benefit options, retirement savings plan with company contribution, vacation, and personal days. Compensation will be based on experience.
