About the job

The Regional Procurement Manager – North America is accountable for driving non-seed procurement performance across the NA region, including cost optimization, supplier performance, risk management, and alignment with business operations.

 

The role is strategic in nature, with a clear mandate to strengthen procurement capabilities, drive change, and establish scalable ways of working in an evolving regional setup. This requires a pragmatic, hands-on approach in the short term, combined with a clear direction for sustainable development.

 

The position reports to the BU Head of Supply Chain and operates as an integrated part of Global Procurement, supporting the Head of Global Procurement and contributing to the Global Procurement Leadership Team. The role ensures strong alignment with global strategies, priorities, and standards while driving regional execution.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Procurement performance and direction

  • Own and drive procurement performance across NA, including savings delivery, supplier performance, and risk mitigation
  • Define and execute regional category and sourcing strategies aligned with global strategies and priorities
  • Build and manage a robust and tracked pipeline of procurement initiatives and savings opportunities
  • Establish clear savings tracking and reporting practices, ensuring transparency and validation of value delivery

 

Operating model and execution discipline

  • Implement and anchor consistent procurement governance, processes, tools, and reporting
  • Establish structure, transparency, and accountability across procurement activities
  • Ensure disciplined sourcing practices, including structured tender processes where relevant
  • Translate global frameworks into effective regional ways of working

 

Transformation and capability building

  • Drive the development of procurement maturity across the region
  • Establish clarity on roles, responsibilities, and decision-making
  • Foster a structured, data-driven and commercially focused procurement approach

 

Supplier and commercial management

  • Own key regional supplier relationships across critical categories
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations
  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle including negotiation, implementation, and performance follow-up
  • Establish structured supplier performance management, including KPIs, reviews, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor market developments, supplier dynamics, and cost drivers to proactively identify risks and opportunities

 

Compliance and sustainability

  • Embed procurement standards related to compliance, ethics, and sustainability across all sourcing activities
  • Ensure alignment with company policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives
  • Maintain transparency and documentation to support audit, compliance, and reporting requirements

 

Stakeholder engagement in a matrix setup

  • Act as the procurement partner to NA leadership and key functions, with a strong anchor in business operations
  • Operate effectively in a global matrix environment, balancing regional needs with global direction
  • Support budgeting and planning through procurement insights, cost drivers, and market intelligence
  • Drive alignment and progress across stakeholders with differing priorities 

 

Qualifications:

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years in procurement with exposure to regional or multi-site environments
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable procurement value (cost, performance, risk)
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Exposure to transformation, change, or building procurement structures is a strong advantage

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and in a hands-on manner
  • Able to drive progress without formal authority

Additional information

  • Regular travel across North America and internationally is expected as part of the role

 

Compensation and Benefits: 

DLF USA Inc. offers a compensation plan that includes a base salary, benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan with company contribution, paid holidays, vacation, and personal days. Compensation will be based on experience.
