About the job

The International Sales Manager is responsible for managing and expanding export sales in key international markets. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, distributors, and brokers while ensuring proper documentation and compliance for international shipments. The position requires a strategic approach to sales growth, including market analysis, pricing, and forecasting, as well as collaboration with internal teams to align production, operations, and logistics with customer needs. Additionally, the International Sales Manager represents the company at trade shows and industry events, contributing to brand growth and business development efforts. The International Sales Manager is a driven, reliable, honest, friendly individual who will be an asset to our company and sales team. Collaboration with others and ability to provide input for continuous improvement is key.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing international customers and key accounts through regular global visits.
  • Identify and engage potential new customers to expand market reach.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product information, ensuring long-term business partnerships.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade exhibitions, customer field days, and industry events.

 

Market & Business Development

  • Develop and implement brand marketing programs tailored to individual customers.
  • Assist in the implementation of company-wide marketing plans, including strategic sales initiatives.
  • Participate in the development of future product offerings, collaborating with R&D to align with customer needs.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to inform future sales strategies.

 

Export Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure proper documentation for all export shipments, complying with international trade regulations.
  • Work closely with plant operations to meet customer specifications on both product and packaging.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and seasonal demand planning.

 

Financial & Sales Planning

  • Develop annual sales budgets and forecasts, adjusting as needed based on market conditions.
  • Assist in production planning for future crop years in collaboration with operations and R&D.
  • Monitor sales performance and achieve revenue targets within assigned export markets.

 

Competencies & Skills:

  • International Sales & Export Expertise: Strong knowledge of global trade, market development, and export documentation.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with distributors, brokers, and direct customers.
  • Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to develop targeted marketing programs and sales forecasts.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, adaptable to different cultural contexts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with supply chain, R&D, operations, and finance teams to meet customer needs.
  • Analytical & Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow up on key business objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Business, Agribusiness, Sales, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in international sales, preferably in the seed or agriculture industry.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas and grow business in new and existing markets.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort with new software & technology.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (20-30%) as needed.


Preferred:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher.
  • 7+ years of quality sales experience, with increasing responsibility.
  • Multilingual skills based on business needs.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

DLF USA Inc. offers a compensation plan that includes a base salary, benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, bonus available, retirement savings plan with company contribution, paid holidays, vacation, and personal days. Compensation will be based on experience.
