Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the management, conservation, and improvement of genetic resources to optimize their use for breeding programs.
- Develop and maintain a strong germplasm database by combining phenotypic and genomic data for improved decision-making.
- Collaborate with breeding programs to design and execute effective germplasm evaluation strategies.
- Supervise germplasm exchanges with local breeding teams and foster new collaborations.
- Lead initiatives that enhance the use of germplasm for breeding, focusing on climate adaptation and nutritional enhancement.
- Partner with the Trait Technology team to integrate novel traits into breeding programs.
- Communicate progress and results through reports, meetings, and internal communications.
Senior Grass Breeder
- Lead breeding programs to deliver high-performance grass varieties that meet commercial and environmental needs.
- Develop long-term breeding plans and set annual trial schedules to optimize genetic improvements.
- Apply data-driven methodologies in breeding, including selection, pollination, and evaluation techniques.
- Design and implement field trials across multiple locations to assess performance in diverse conditions.
- Analyze trial data to make informed decisions and drive optimal variety selection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of breeding projects.
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations to communicate breeding advancements.

We are seeking a passionate candidate with a strong foundation in plant breeding and genetic resource management, who thrives in a collaborative and innovative environment.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise, leadership, and a strategic vision, along with excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making. Does this sound like you?
- A Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience in Plant Breeding, Genetics, or Agronomy.
- Expertise in designing complex plant breeding strategies and managing genetic resources.
- A strong background in genomics and its application within breeding programs.
- Experience in field trial design, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
- The ability to work in an international, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 20 days per year.
