About the job
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sustained growth within their assigned territory through proactive, direct engagement with dealers and key accounts. This role involves identifying opportunities to expand and strengthen both existing distributor relationships and new business channels through the development and execution of strategic market plans. The Regional Sales Manager will be accountable for maximizing sales revenue, achieving and exceeding annual financial targets, and providing accurate sales forecasts. Additionally, you will promote a strong customer-focused approach by ensuring timely communication, effective execution of marketing programs, and maintaining current knowledge of product developments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in business planning and budgeting processes as directed by leadership.
- Establish and work toward achieving sales targets, identifying and implementing strategies to meet or exceed goals.
- Analyze sales data to evaluate performance, identify strengths and opportunities, and develop actionable improvement plans.
- Promote and maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Drive market share growth through expanded engagement with both new and existing customers.
- Implement structured market development strategies, including maintaining customer and prospect databases, gathering market intelligence, formalizing call plans, and participating in industry events such as trade shows and conventions.
- Manage and support the existing distributor network, ensuring customer requirements and expectations are consistently met.
- Execute marketing initiatives in alignment with established brand standards, including distributor programs.
- Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the shipping department to support daily sales operations.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through training sessions, seminars, and other learning opportunities.
- Support internal controls related to credit management, including monitoring credit holds and assisting in resolving credit-related matters.
- Manage accounts receivable by reviewing aging reports and supporting collection efforts in collaboration with Finance.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment through effective cross-functional communication.
- Maintain regular communication with Sales Leadership, providing updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Diploma, degree, or certificate in agriculture, sales, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in an agricultural sales environment.
- Seed industry experience preferred.
- Completion of relevant sales training programs.
- Proven ability to drive profitable sales growth and develop customer accounts.
- Ability to travel frequently (approximately 50%–70%).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations and proposals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation and Benefits:
DLF USA Inc. offers a competitive compensation plan that includes a base salary, benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life and disability, bonus available, retirement savings plan with company contribution, paid holidays, vacation, and personal days. Compensation will be based on experience.
