General Description:
The Production Order Selector  is responsible for ensuring that all production orders are pulled accurately in accordance with the production order documents respective to the daily production schedule.

 

Job Summary

The Production Order Selector is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods, coordinating material transfers and maintaining inventory and associated records.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in daily production warehouse needs including:

  • Organizing and monitoring inventory, using appropriate resources so that product can be easily located.
  • Receiving/Unloading incoming shipments from third parties and routing to appropriate area or personnel.
  • Satisfying capacity goals.
  • Ensuring accuracy of production picks and supporting documentation.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensuring all inventory transactions are accurately logged.
  • Directing physical placement of completed production into finished goods
  • Assist on Production lines as needed to meet production demand
  • Carry out & follow through on daily production plan
  • Maintaining departmental work instructions for all tasks.
  • Meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow.
  • Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency,
  • Continuously improve production operations.
  • Conferring with others to coordinate activities when needed and serving internal and external customers.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum

Experience: one to three to five years of relevant warehouse experience including 1+ year of order selection, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to make calculations such dimensional weight, totals, and percentages.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves;
  • Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 70 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders.
  • Forklift operation certification

Preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft NAV software.
Ability to solve problems when needed
Excellent communication skills
