Agricom is an industry leader in the research, development and marketing of a wide range of proprietary pasture and forage crop seeds to the agricultural industry. Our core business is investing in the research and development of forage options, and in the advancement of endophyte technology to increase profits returned back to farmers.
The Role
We’re on the hunt for a passionate Territory Manager to join our team in the Palmerston North.
The Territory Manager will be responsible for providing retail customers, farmers, consultants, contractors and other key influencers with technical information and advice on cropping, pasture renewal and the effective use of Agricom cultivars.
We're looking for a motivated self-starter with strong time management, planning abilities, and attention to detail.
Our team can be found around New Zealand working with farmers to find the right products to increase profits and achieve the greatest return per hectare. We are a collaborative and genuine group of people and you will be joining a team of passionate high performers.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and achieve regional sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with farmers, retailers, and industry stakeholders.
- Provide technical advice, training, and support on Agricom products.
- Establish and evaluate forage trial and demonstration sites.
- Support marketing initiatives through technical content and regional insights.
- Represent Agricom at field days, conferences, and industry events.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with key industry organisations to strengthen Agricom's market presence.
About You
- Background in agricultural sales, agronomy, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of pastoral farming systems.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Commercially focused with a proven ability to achieve results.
- Passionate about supporting farmers and driving on-farm success.
You’ll have a great manner, sound knowledge of farm systems, a superb understanding of what it takes to be successful advisor and your previous on farm experience and / or education will ensure you are a trusted sales partner to our clients.
