Agronomy Technician - Casual

PGG Wrightson Seeds is the largest proprietary seed company in the southern hemisphere. We are now part of the global seed company, DLF, headquartered in Denmark. We service both New Zealand and global markets, encompassing all facets of the seed market, from research and development through to seed supply and on-farm support.

PGG Wrightson Seeds have a casual part time opportunity available for an Agronomy Technician to join their team in Ruakura, Hamilton.

The Agronomy Technician will be responsible for assisting the forage research team including planning, implementation and reporting of forage trials throughout the Waikato region.  This is primarily a field role, including general farm operations and will involve some statistical analysis of agronomy data and scientific report writing. 

Desirable attributes sought:

• Tertiary qualified in an agricultural related discipline or recent and relevant experience in a similar role
• Sound knowledge of, and a genuine interest in Plants, Agriculture and Farming
• A commitment to working in an Research and Development field
• An understanding of farm systems in New Zealand and how our products can add value
