As a Forage Agronomist, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and reporting on forage trials and demonstration sites, working closely with internal technical, sales, and marketing teams, as well as external research partners and growers. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role that combines sound agronomic practice with strong communication, data analysis, and customer engagement.

About the role and requirements:

  • Plan, establish, manage, and report on forage product development trials, ensuring data is accurate, robust, and scientifically sound.
  • Maintain forage trial sites and regional demonstration areas to a high standard, including sowing, maintenance, harvesting, and data collection.
  • Work closely with internal technical, sales, and marketing teams to support product positioning, extension activities, and commercial strategies.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with farmers, trial co‑operators, research providers, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Support field days, conferences, and extension activities while operating safely and in line with all health and safety requirements.


Ideally, the successful candidate will have a background in agronomy, agriculture, or a related discipline, with practical experience in forage systems, trials, or field‑based research. You will be organised, detail‑focused, and comfortable working hands‑on in the field while confidently analysing and reporting data to a high standard.


A proactive attitude, sound safety awareness, and a willingness to travel regionally and support extension activities will be key to success in this role.


You'll work closely with people who are recognised internationally as leaders in their field.  You will also be involved with a research and development program that is at the forefront of developing market leading products.
