PGG Wrightson Seeds is one of New Zealand’s premier seed businesses, encompassing all aspects of the seeds market, from research and development, seed production and processing, through to supply and on-farm support.
We are seeking a Trainee Arable Representative to join our Arable Team working and learning in the field with our Arable Reps. The role will include some initial induction and training at our Kimihia Research Centre in Lincoln and with our Canterbury production teams. This role will be based out of Gore covering the Southland region.
This role involves learning of all aspects of an Arable Representatives role, including building client relationships, procuring the seed requirements for the business and managing the complete growing process of our contracted crops.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:
• Need to be motivated and driven to learn and succeed
• Have a passion for the Arable Industry
• A high standard of communication
• Great organisational abilities
• Excellent time management skills
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
• A suitable agricultural degree will be advantageous for this role
