Arable Representative

Job Family:  Field Production
Business Unit:  Oceania
Location:

Gore, NZ, 9710

PGG Wrightson Seeds is one of New Zealand’s premier seed businesses, encompassing all aspects of the seeds market, from R&D, seed production and processing, through to supply and on-farm support.

We are seeking an experienced Arable Representative to join our Arable Team to work in the Southland and Otago regions with our Arable clients. Ideally you will have 2 + years experience in a similar role. For the right candidate we would provide agronomic and technical training and would include some initial training at our Kimihia Research Centre in Lincoln and time in the field in the Canterbury region.

As a trusted adviser to our Arable clients, you will provide them with one point of contact to cover all aspects of their arable business. This includes the responsibility of procuring our seed and grain production requirements with our growers and managing the complete growing process of their contracted crops.

The remuneration package would relate to the level of experience you have and bring to this role. Also due to the geographical spread of our Arable clients in this region, there will be some flexibility on where you could reside for this role.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Need to be self-motivated and driven to learn and succeed
  • Have a passion for the Arable Industry
  • A high standard of communication/ability to build relationships
  • Excellent organisational abilities and time management skills
  • A suitable agricultural degree/previous experience would be advantageous
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook

If this sounds like you and you want to work for a great company then we’d like to hear from you.
