General Description: The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for executing daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and material handling activities in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Support Specialist to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth execution of daily warehouse operations, with warehouse responsibilities such as shipping coordination, machine operations, order fulfillment, inventory management, and office administrative support. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (LTL and truckload), and internal transfers to ensure accurate and timely order delivery.
- Pick sales orders and prepare necessary shipping documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts.
- Order office, warehouse and safety supplies as needed.
- Delegate operational responsibilities—such as safety training—to warehouse staff, and support general office management activities.
- Provide professional customer service to walk-in customers and dealers. This includes on-site visits, emails and phone conversations.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Assists with other duties as assigned, including but not limited to machine operations, bagging and tagging as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lead, motivate, and work together as a team player.
- Prior experience in warehouse and distribution settings, including shipping and receiving.
- Basic math skills and proficient with computers, internet navigation, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & Teams).
- Willingness and ability to learn new software systems.
- Ability to lift 50–70 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekend hours may be required during peak seasons.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
