We are looking for a Grain Administrator to join our friendly Grain team based in Ashburton. This is a 12-month Fixed Term role where you’ll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes – supporting our grain trading activities with accurate, timely admin and great customer service. You’ll work alongside the Grain Trading Manager and the wider team, helping with day-to-day coordination, contracts, records, and reporting.

If you enjoy being the organised one, like working with systems and details, and you’re keen to be part of a relaxed, supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide administrative support across grain operations, including transaction processing, logistics, inventory monitoring, and reporting.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain grain contracts, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and well controlled.
  • Maintain accurate records across business systems and databases, including contract and sample data.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service, responding to enquiries professionally and ensuring follow-up and resolution of outstanding matters.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in an administration role, with confidence using databases and business systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Well organised, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.

Join a global agriculture company

  • Supportive Team Environment: Be part of a collaborative, values-driven team that supports your success and development.
  • Industry Impact: Contribute to an essential part of the agricultural value chain, supporting growers and customers across New Zealand.
  • Global Reach: Connect with colleagues across New Zealand, Australia, and the wider DLF global network.

This role offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation within a respected agribusiness, where your work directly supports operational success and customer outcomes.
